J&K parties, including BJP, ask Election Commission to hold Assembly elections as per Supreme Court deadline

The Supreme Court had in December last year passed directions on holding elections in J&K by September 30, 2024; Assembly election in J&K was last held in 2014 and remains under Central rule since 2018
