Despite earlier opposition, Kerala set to establish Waqf Board under the new Waqf (Amendment) Act

The tenure of the outgoing Board expired on December 14. The board is on an extended deadline. Waqf Minister V. Abdurahiman says the government will shortly complete the process for the election of the new Board as envisaged in the newly passed Act.
