In pictures | Maha Kumbh Mela draws sea of devotees at Triveni Sangam

The Maha Kumbh kicked off on January 13, 2025, in Prayagraj with a visual display of 2,000 illuminated drones over Sangam Nose, depicting iconic events such as the mythical Samudra Manthan and emergence of the Amrit Kalash. Millions of devotees have already started visited and continue to throng the Triveni Sangamam (the confluence of three rivers — the Ganga, Yamuna and the mythical Saraswati).
