SC asks Thrissur Pooram organisers to comply with Captive Elephants Rules, stays Kerala HC directions contrary to the law

Thiruvambady and Paramekkavu devaswoms, which host Thrissur Pooram, had approached Supreme Court challenging Kerala High Court’s back-to-back orders which included directions that elephants paraded at the festival should maintain an exact distance of three metres from each other
