Tamil Nadu govt. permits use of airstrip for exclusive drone operations in Kallakurichi

Anna University to use the defunct Ulundurpet airfield for testing Swarm Drone Systems for six months starting December 20, 2024; it is safe and conducive to conduct the tests within a radius of 50 km from the airstrip; the drones will be useful in relief and rescue operations at disaster sites
