Work on city’s first steel bridge to begin in April

The facility will come up across Buckingham Canal connecting Thoraipakkam and Neelankarai. The work will be undertaken at a total cost of ₹35 crore. Tenders have been floated and the process is in an advanced stage. It will take nine months to complete the work, says a Highways official
